Volunteers Needed for the Dirty Dog
It has been a long winter and finally spring is here. The Dirty Dog 15k Trail Run was a big success last year with over 130 registered runners and canines. Preparations have begun for the “Fifth Annual - Dirty Dog 15K Trail Run” at Kanawha State Forest on May 17, 2008. The proceeds from the race will benefit the Kanawha/Charleston Animal Shelter and the Kanawha Trestle Rail Trail.
This is a big endeavor and I need your help. I am not asking for your money, but I am asking you for your time. A successful race rests on its volunteers. The Dirty Dog will need fifteen volunteers to staff the three aid stations, registration table, and finish area. In addition, specialty jobs like an EMT and veterinarian need to be filled. Is the work hard? Not really. Is it fun? Yes!
