Snowflake Race Report
Thanks again to Mike Dolin and Kadra and the two people who manned the race stops, and to all the others who helped out on Saturday.
It was a beautiful day, the course was well marked and it really wasn’t nearly as masochistic as I thought it would be. Mike picked a nice easy route for us and I was really appreciating all of the sloping downhill. Greg was as well since it was his first distance run ever. I had a great time, he says he had a “not too horrible time”, which translates to, “hey that was fun” in Gregease.
The service road got a little muddy in places and the gravelled areas were a little treacherous, especially with all of the leaves covering some of the paths, but the weather was great, if not a tiny bit chill to begin with, but once you got moving all was wonderful.
I was shocked to find that we had not one but two stops on the loop (four all together – not including the start/finish line). It was a pleasant surprise. I had packed enough stuff for us to do the run without any aid, but having them there was great and very much appreciated.
