Gillanders and Potts Boston Bound in 2010
Robert Gillanders and Bill Potts are on their way home from sunny Virginia Beach very satisfied. They both had PR’s at the Shamrock Marathon today running 3:07 62nd place and 3:17 157 place respectively in a field of 2524 runners. Bill said conditions were perfect and they will be heading to Boston in April 2010 for their little road race. I guess we won’t be seeing them on the trails for the next year! Congratulations Guys.
Bill Gentry has led various pace groups at the Shamrock for many years. This year it was the 4:15ers who he helped bring to the finish line in exactly that time. That Gentry learned a lot while running at WV Wesleyan in Buckhannon!
