Does It Get Any Better…..

Shavers Mtn: Otter Creek Wilderness
……….than running trails in the fall?
I shot some video on a run in Otter Creek today. It’s pretty grainy and not good, but I was just messing around with this camera and with uploading video. Caution: take some dramamine if you watch!
So what trails have you been running to take in the beauty of fall?
Last weekend a great group of friends ran out of Damascus, VA on what we call the Government Road Loop. 24 miles long. First 11 on the AT and the remainder on rock roads, a few miles of pavement and a little trail thrown in the middle of the paved and rock roads to help us remember our heritage. Tough run with great climbing, but quad busting downhills. Leaves were beautiful and as soon as we got up high the little bit of rain we were having turned to sleet. What a fall run!
Coopers Rock State Forest w/ JL Brown and company. The colours are quite dull though as he has us running in the dark and rain this morning! 5AM Mark
Rick- You are lucky to have all those great IMTR’s close enough to share a run. A great group of people and some really good running down your way.
Mark- 5am!!! Man, JL must be doing some hard-core double-secret training these days! Maybe we can plan a training run down this way sometime before the snow starts flying.

I want to do a run at Otter Creek!
The leaves and forest were beautiful yesterday.
You just say the word JL. What about this next Saturday? Drop me a note if you or anyone else is interested.
Nice sun and sounds in beautiful Otter Creek Wilderness. But your’re right, now I’m sea-sick. Duck tape that sucker to the top of your head and give it another try!
I’m having Blair Witch Project Flashbacks. I left the theater to puke halfway through.
