Little Seneca Creek: Oil Painting by Kadra Casseday

Presenting the WV Trilogy; a run of days across the Eastern Continental Divide and West Virginia’s highest hill, Spruce Knob.  This new WVMTR club sponsored event will consist of a 50K on Day 1, 50M on Day 2, and Half Marathon on Day 3.  Nestled among the the mystical highlands is The Mountain Institute, which will serve as the race headquarters.  This race will be a very special event for all involved.  Be sure not to miss out (we are only accepting 100 runners) on running and/or volunteering.  For complete information, please visit the WV Trilogy website.

Boy that sure is a nice painting. Kadra does some pretty awesome work with oil paint.

Do you guys think baby dolin will be in running shape by October???

  • Adam Casseday says:

Sure the baby will be ready. . . if not there will be lots of babysitters I’m sure!

Looks like Dan and Adam have done their due diligence as RD(s) in planning and making this a special event for the mid-atlantic/east-coast! If fit, hope to spend 3-special days w/ fellow WVMTR members/friends at this innauqural event!

sounds fun, I’ll be 50 on Oct 8th…..this may be just what I need!

  • Paula and Greg says:

I have to check my calendar at work and at home first, but I might like to volunteer to help work for this with Greg on the first two days and then run the half on the last day, if you guys could use the help. Let me know what you think.

    • Adam Casseday says:

Paula- We could certainly use the help. I promise this will be the most fun volunteering you could ever do.

      • Paula says:

Talked to Greg. It looks good for us to be volunteers for the first two parts, but we would like to run the half if that is okay.

There is a slight possibility I might have to work that weekend. That haven’t finalized the schedule yet, but I should know pretty quick. It is a very small chance though.

        • Adam Casseday says:

Paula- thanks for the offer to volunteer. Especially so far in advance. Just send me or Dan an e-mail directly as your schedule is solidified. Thanks again!

Paula, you guys have a great time with this! Would love to get involved with this one, but we have the Warrior Dash on the 9th out in Md…maybe next year!

How many people have signed up for this insanity? I’m seriously interested!

    • Adam Casseday says:

Just a few so far, but more will lose their “sanity” as the warmer weather makes such a venture more realistic.

  • Lori says:

So glad to see the event evolving and growing. Looking to see if I can work out volunteering part of the weekend. Way to go!

    Hey Adam,
you need any volunteers? Im not in good enough shape for that but would love to be part of it.

  • Todd P. says:

    Adam,

Few questions for the 50 miler and about TMI:

    1. Is there cell phone reception at TMI?

    2. I didn’t order a meal for Saturday evening…is it possible to pay onsite for it?

    3. Do you recommend trail shoes for this course or would one be OK with road shoes?

Thanks, and see you Friday night.
    Todd
