Pub Run Postponed

Published by at 7:27 pm under Uncategorized

It is with great regret and a level of logic I usually do not display that I must call off the Pub Run for this Saturday. I just spoke to Randy who laid out the courses and Willie who runs the pub and they both said running would be near impossible. Who says knee-deep, heavy snow is impossible . . . even if another 12-16 inches is coming tomorrow. It is unfortunate but the smart thing is to stay close to home a have fun there.

I will reschedule this fun event and let you all know the date.

Yeah Sid, the A-Man would never cancel the Chiller Thriller. . . Good concert this Sat at the Arts Center in Elkins if folks are out and about; The Sweetback Sisters made up of one of Elkins’ finest, Jesse Milnes. Kadra and I are planning on going.

Oh, and btw, I’m glad you postponed the Pub Run Lehmann. I want to publicly proclaim how much I HATE RUNNING IN SNOW! Is it spring yet?

  • N. MN Trail Runner says:

WEAK! Are the Pub Run memories of 2-yrs ago already forgotten? Good thing I checked the web-site and received this update; I will turn the ol’ Chevy around and head back for snowy trails in MN. Adam – For someone who just joined the ranks as a prestigious White Grass 5k Snowshoe Champion I’m surprised at your opposition to running in the snow…? Running the snowmobile trails up here in winter offers chances to explore trails otherwise impassable during the thaw. Cold beer at home is good BUT cold beer w/friends at the MSBCompany rocks! Dan, please send me a growler to get by until the Pub Run is reschedule…

    • Dan Lehmann says:

Ok Corey, I’ll get that Cold Trail and an IPA heading west on the next mule train.

We’ve just all gotten soft since we lost our MN Runner. I’ve simply reverted back to becoming a sissy again… although I did enjoy running the nicely groomed trails at Whitegrass. Post-holing up to my thighs though, no thank you. I’ll unfortunately have to be a WV Mountain Road Runner until this mess of a winter decides to let up. BUT… if you were making the trip Corey, I’d do the run even if there was 5′ of snow!

  • LOGAR says:

Wah wah wah…it’s just frozen water. we are still running barefoot up in these parts….
