Running Shoe Survey

Published by at 6:09 am under Uncategorized

I received the following from Gerry Hong. Although trail running is somewhat of a minimalist sport when it comes to gear, we do enjoy discussing and donning new footwear.

Hi there,

My name is Gerry Hong, and I am a grad student at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. For my master’s thesis project I am studying what matters to runners when they look for a new pair of shoes, and was wondering if I could ask your help.

I discovered the West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners on RRCA.org, and was hoping you could ask your members to complete a brief, 5-minute survey which asks them about their running shoe habits. My 5 teammates and I are offering a $300 gift certificate to one person who completes this survey, and your group’s insights would be incredibly helpful to us in completing our thesis.

We’re doing this as an academic project, and you do not need to enter any personally-identifiable information. Here’s the link to our survey:

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you so much for your help! My phone number is 858-220-1089. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Gerry Hong
