Roger Kyle Memorial 10 Mile Trail Run/5K Trail Walk

The Roger Kyle Memorial 10Mile Trail run/5K Walk is so named in honor of Roger Kyle, who died after suffering a heart attack. Roger was a friend to many and could often be seen running in the Barboursville Park in accompaniment with his wife, Sara. Roger and Sara’s contributions to the running community were many and living proof that one individual can make a difference in the lives of others and in his community.


Course:

The 10M Trail Run is a hilly, challenging course with expanses of fast runs in addition to runs on narrow paths. Run will initiate and conclude at the lake with brief stretches of paved road. The course will provide numerous panoramic views of the park and surrounding area.


Entry Fees:

Entry before May 28th-$20.00
Entry after May 28th-$25.00
Children participate for free


Awards:

Prizes will be awarded by raffle, Tec shirts given to the first one hundred-fifty participants; Children that participate in Fun Run will receive free T-shirt


More Information:

Event will be held regardless of weather conditions, no spikes please. 5K Trail walk is unlike any other 5K walk you will experience. Come walk with us and experience nature first hand. Walkers will enjoy trails that wind through the park providing picturesque views of the park seldom seen by the public.

There will be something for everyone.
