Young’s at Grindstone 100

On Friday evening at 6pm 108 runners embarked on the massive Grindstone course with hopes of not getting ground into stone. This 100 miler with 23,000 feet of elevation is one of the toughtest in the east. In the mix were brothers Randy and Bill Young with plans of finishing their 2nd 100 mile race.
Running conditions were perfect, lows overnight dropping to the mid 30′s with stars and the crescent moon above,
followed by a wonderful fall day of sun and 60′s. The boys were of course well taken care of by Team Young for 24 hours as they ran strong along the VA/WV border course. Results are not posted yet, but the guys finished well enough to capture 1st place Masters and Grand Masters!
Great job!
Excellent run to both of you!
Way to go guys! I especially like this video (http://www.youtube.com/user/ctwzeala?feature=mhum#p/u/19/DIiRV6PBQMM) from the first mile. I’m glad to see that you went out SLOW Randy!
You know me Adam, Always starting out way too SLOW!!!
