Trilogy Update
For those of you who weren’t there this weekend and for those of you that were and want to relive the awesome event, here’s an update about the 2010 Trilogy. The weather was spectacular and the recent rains helped the foliage peak out for the 50 Miler on Saturday.
I will be posting a slideshow of Trilogy pictures at Running Times later this week. I will also get a gallery together of the rest of the pictures. Dan Todd’s pictures will be available on iPlay before long. And Dan Lehmann will be posting results tonight, when he gets home.
Though the focus of the event was more on camaraderie than competition here are the winners:
Overall Male Winner: Gancho Slavov of Morgantown (94 miles in 15:39)
Overall Female Winner: Kristen Krempasky of PA (20:55)

Joel, I know that you heard this a million times from the runners this past weekend but I just have to say it again…. Thanx! for taking the picts( even though you were working when you were doing it ). Also, let Katie know that I appreciate running with her for the 1st 8 or so miles. It really paced me along and help me finish better than I expected to. And of course tell Oscar that his sunshine-esque smile lit me up.. quite the show-off. Later Mark
We really had a great time this weekend, and with all the crap we’ve had going on at home, it was a very much needed weekend of fun, friends, food, and lots of beer. The scenery was gorgeous, The Mountain Instutute staff were awesome, and time spent with great people, both friends and strangers, was outstanding.
I’m not sure you want to remind everyone how much beer was consumed over the wknd.
Yes, I think if the club started asking for beer donations we wouldn’t need to charge registration fee for races.
It was a great time!!!! Really good experience.
It was an amazing weekend! I really enjoyed getting to expore new trails and connect with all my WVMTR friends. The Mountain Institute was a great venue, I said to a few folks that I might have come home a few pounds heavier, despite having run the 50k and half, given all the good food I consumed from the TMI kitchen. And then there was the beer — thanks Willie and Mountain State Brewing Company – that stuff was the best!
