Haulin’ in the Holler 2012
Haulin’ in the Holler 5K/25K took place last weekend and came off fairly well. Rain the night before made for muddy conditions in the trails but it was not enough to slow down Robert Smith or Zachary Beckett who took first and second place respectively in the 25K with no one else in sight. Matthew Durgin and Drake Fertig, both 13 yrs. old, took first and second overall in the 5K. Overall it was a good day to run and everyone enjoyed themselves. Hats off to the Boy Scouts of Troop 164 Eleanor for doing an excellent job in their first Haulin in the Holler.

Hey folks, our annual excursion will be the weekend of August 3-5 and again take us to the high country. In fact we will camp near the Spruce Knob, the highest country in West Virginia. We have access to private land with plenty of camping space, water and showers. Your critters are welcome too.
We’ll do a short run Friday afternnon and plan some loops in the Spruce Knob Seneca Creek Area for Saturday morning. Bring something for the Saturday dinner table and $5 camping fee, what a deal!
Contact Lehmann at irunwv@gmail.comwith your reservation. I will send you directions.

| 8:00 am |
There will be a training run on the first half of the course on Saturday March 31, 2012. Hopefully we won’t see weather like last year’s freak storm.
Meet at the Laneville Start at 8:00am. The first half loop will be 21 miles, or choose to bail at the 14 mile option. For directions to the start go to the Highlands Details page HERE.
Please let me know if you are coming. Lehmann irunwv@gmail.com
