Mt State Trail Run Series 2008

The West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners are again proudly coordinating the 2008 Mountain State Trail Run Series. All seven participating races from 2007 have committed to the series with the rapidly approaching spring schedule locked in and the fall dates almost complete. Pencil in these races on your calendar as the time to start putting those base miles in for the spring races is now! The Babcock Gristmill Grinder will again kick off the series where we hope to see 2007 “Gristmill” race winners Joel Wolpert and Robin Weiner attempt to defend against last year’s overall Mountain State Trail Run Series “top dogs” Michael Bee and Ashley Dolin.

It’s great to have personal goals and we all have our own individual levels of competiveness, however this series is about more than overall titles. Come on out to support participating races and their causes, enjoy some great WV trail running venues/scenery and socialize with a great network of participants. Once again there will even be special recognition given to those individuals who participate in all seven series races; a great personal goal for 2008! Keep an eye on this homepage for upcoming announcements regards new sponsors, new prizes and unique opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities to win at each race.  Please note* registering for a race does NOT sign you up for the series. Details follow for registering for the MSTRS via e-mail, mail or alternatively you may sign up on race day.

Hope to see you on the trail!
