SCHEDULE

Wednesday 8/29
4:00 pm and on arrive at Lehmann's home for supper of lasagna and pizza, run review, last rites. If you did the test run last October and choose to skip this fine evening of camaraderie you could meet us at Valley Health Care in Mill Creek at 7:30am Thursday 8/30. Please let me know if you will not be here Wednesday, but instead meet us in Mill Creek Thursday morning. As of today Casseday, Young, Young, Hite, Logar, Logar, Wolpert will be meeting us Thursday morning.

Thursday 8/30 31Miles
7:00 am leave Helvetia for Mill Creek.  You will leave their vehicles at Lehmann's house and we will travel the start in the Lehmann, Stennes and Potts vehicles. We will meet the others at Valley Health Care in MC at 7:30am. Run starts at 8:00.

We will camp Thursday evening at the Laurel Fork Campground in the Laurel Fork Wilderness Area. No phones, no services, a nice river to bathe in. I will purchase dinner stuff; subs for a snack at the finish.  Pizza, corn on the cob and hot dogs for dinner.

It has been suggested that a side trip to nearby Sinks of Gandy Cave might be enjoyable. Bring your headlights and wading shoes. Can you guess who came up with this wild suggestion?

Today's Crew will be Jody Logar her car, Mike Stennes his car, Tony Morris driving Crew A van, Jennifer Cochran driving Crew B truck.

Kadra Kramer and Kelly Young arrive at Laurel Fork Campground in the evening.

Friday 8/31 33 Miles
8:00 am start running. This will be a long day crossing over the Sinks of Gandy and Spruce Knob. You will be in some remote country on Spruce Mt. If the weather should be inclement, it will be very inclement up there. A compass would be a smart thing to have with.

Finish at Yokum's Motel on Rt. 28 1/4 mile north of Seneca Rocks. I have reserved two large cabins. There are a lot of beds, but probably not enough for everyone. I'm bringing an air mattress. There is a  shower and kitchen in each cabin. You can cook supper or try Yokum's Restaurant near the cabin. They serve dinner till 8pm.
Yokum's phone 800 772-8342 or 304 567-2351

Today's Crew will be Jody Logar her car, Ashley Dolin Crew A van, Jennifer Cochran Crew B truck, Kelly Young her truck,

Saturday 9/1 31 Miles
8:00 am start running. Up Seneca Rocks, over North Fork Mountain, across the South Branch of the Potomac Valley. The latter 2/3 of today's run will be on small secondary roads. You may want to change to road shoes at Aid #1.  It could be hot if it's hot. There is a river to jump in at the finish today. There will be a shuttle to Saturday nights accommodations.

We will stay this evening at the Young Family Camp. There is a shower plenty of camping space in the yard. Phone there is  304 358-3329. Dinner will be prepared by Margaret and Lydia Young. Probably be the best meal of the trip. The Young's Camp is 6 miles from Franklin.

We will leave our gear here and return Sunday afternoon to pack up.

Today's Crew will be Jody Logar her car, Katie Wolpert Crew A van , Jennifer Cochran Crew B truck, Kelly Young her truck

Sunday 9/2 25 Miles
7:45 am we will shuttle back to the course to begin running at 8:00. Big climb up Shenandoah Mt, long ridge, big descent to Brandywine Lake. Swimming in lake and showers too. It is a short drive back to the Young's Camp.

We will go to Thompson's Restaurant in Franklin for dinner. Hopefully this will be around 4pm.

Drive back to Elkins, then Mill Creek were we left vehicles Thursday morning, then to Helvetia.
