Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing fall weather to hit some trails. We are
planning on doing a training run at Kanawha State Forest for the Frozen Sasquatch on NOVEMBER 13th, 2010 at 9:00 am. (Before rifle huntin’ season starts!!!) We will take off from the pool (click here for directions) and do the 15.5 mile loop. Anyone is welcome to come out, even if not planning on running the Sasquatch…there are a few spots where you could cut out early to (6-8 miles).

For those in the area or otherwise interested, the WV High School state XC meet is this coming weekend at Cabell Midland High School, in between Huntington and Charleston. If you live in the state, chances are good you have a local kid in the meet. It’s easy to find something else to do this weekend, but consider coming out for the excitement and racing action and to support these up-and-coming runners.
Meet information here.

I’m not a big fan of the flies that seem to find me after standing still for 30 seconds. At Highlands Sky and the WV Trilogy I felt like Pigpen from the Peanuts surrounded by a cloud of dirt and the flies.
My favorite image from the Trilogy was this picture of Dan and Kat giving the race briefing prior to the 5K and half marathon. These guys and Adam had put so much effort into organizing this epic event and they were almost finished.
