Camping, Lodging & Supplies
Tent camping at The Mountain Institute is highly suggested due to the remote location. There is no addtional fee to camp. There are showers and bathrooms, and supplemental portojohns.
Dorm rooms are available on site for $15/night if you do not care to camp. Contact Liz at lgutierrez@mountain.org to make arrangements.
You should try to bring whatever supplies you may need, as the nearest store and gas is a 40 min drive.
For those who do not care to camp here are the options. These are clean, comfortable older style motels.
Bartow: The Hermitage approximately a 40 min drive
Seneca Rocks: 4-U Motel (304) 567-2111 approximately a 40 min drive
Gasoline and Store. There is a Chevron and a small store on Circleville, a 20 minute drive from The Mountain Institute on Rt. 28.
The Upper Falls of Seneca Creek will be passed on the 50k & 50 mile courses
