COURSE – This 25k+ course leaves the Fayetteville Town Park and rolls on mountain bike trails out past Kaymoor Top and then down into the New River Gorge.  It passes by old mine entrances, gushing waterfalls, and a spectacular view of the New River Gorge Bridge before a challenging climb back up to the Park.  With a total elevation gain of over 1500 feet this course will prove fast yet challenging!

AID – There will be 3 Aid locations located at approximately 5, 9.5, and 15 miles.  Aid stations will provide water/HEED and some various fruits and carbohydrates.  In an effort to decrease the amount of waste, runners are strongly encouraged to run with some kind of handheld water bottle as cups will be limited at the aid stations.

TIME RESTRAINTS –  Time limit 5 hours 30 minutes.

REGISTRATION – Register either by mailing in payment and the form, or online via Active.  Either way registration cost is $35 if postmarked by 10/1/13, and $45 thereafter.  The race is limited to 150 runners.  Registration will be available during packet pick-up Friday, Nov. 15, pending available spots.  No race day registration will be available.   A merino beanie is included with registration and is guaranteed to those registered by 10/1/13.  Beanies will be available to those registering after, while supplies last.  A refund of registration fees, minus a $10 is available up until 10/1/13 at which point no refund shall be granted.
