COURSE:
The 15k trail run is a challenging mix of single track mountainous trail and unimproved dirt road. The course includes two long climbs and several sections of rolling ridge lines. There are rocks, roots and wet stuff. Your “dogs” will get dirty!
AID:
Aid stations stocked with water (for humans and canines) and sport drink (humans only) will be located at mile 2.2, 4.7, 6.5 and the finish. A selection of fruit and baked goods (and dog treats) will replenish you at the finish.

Pre-registration for the DIRTY DOG 15K TRAIL RUN is $20 if postmarked by May 10, 2008 and $25 thereafter. Race day registration will be from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Beautiful technical t-shirt guaranteed first 150 registrants. ENTRY BLANK
PRIZE DRAWING:
Bring one of the listed pet care supplies to be donated to the Kanawha/Charleston Humane Association and be entered in the prize drawing. Must be present to win.

RUN WITH THE DOGS:
Registered runners may run with their dogs during the race. Dogs and their runners must start in the back. Dogs must be on a leash for the first mile and stay within eyesight of the runner for the WHOLE race. Special Award to the Top Dog!
CAMPING:

SERIES:
Trail Runner magazine announces its 2008 TROPHY SERIES, a United States and Canada point series of over 120 selected trail races (from March 1 to September 30). All participants racing in the DIRTY DOG 15K TRAIL RUN will be automatically entered in the Trophy Series. Please visit TrailRunner Magazine for details.
The Mountain State Trail Run Series is a collection of trail runs for 2008. These races will take you to some wild and wonderful places in West Virginia. The variety of courses will challenge you to some exciting trail running. So mark you calendar and plan to run them all! The West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners are coordinating the MSTR Series.
To enter the MSTR Series participants must complete a separate registration form. You may enter at any time. Once entered you are registered for the entire Series. Points will not be awarded retroactively. Registration will be available on race day or they may be printed and mailed to WVMTR, PO Box 18, Helvetia, WV 26224.
