Location: The race is located at Kanawha State Forest near Charleston, WV. Directions to the Forest can be found here, Directions to Kanawha State Forest . The race starts at the parking lot near the swimming pool. From the parks main entrance travel 1.4 miles and turn left.
Limitations: The race is limited to 200 registrants (shirts guaranteed to the first 150 to register and pickup their shirt. No show, no shirt.). The time limit to complete the course is 8 1/2 hrs for both distances. There will be cutoff points at the half way point (mile 15.8) at 12:20 pm, and Aid Station 6 (mile 24.3) at 2:30 pm. After cutoff times have past, sweepers will be sent to remove flagging and sweep the course. Please do not ask to continue run if cutoff times are not met. Registration will be closed 12/13/14. Race is limited to 200 registrants.
Drop Bags: If the 50k runners want to leave a drop bag at the halfway point, we will have a table designated for this (please label bag with race number and name). Or if you want to get something out of your vehicle, or put something in your vehicle, you are free to do so at the halfway point. There are also restrooms at this point.
Race Registration: Entry fee for the Frozen Sasquatch Trail Run is as follows:
50k: $50 if postmarked by 11/01/14 and $60 thereafter
25k: $40 if postmarked by 11/01/14 and $50 thereafter
Runners receive a Patagonia Capilene shirt. Shirts guaranteed to the first 150 to register. No Show, No Shirt. Please do not ask.

Packet Pickup: Packets may be picked up at Roberts Running and Walking Shop in Charleston, WV Friday 1-3-14 between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. You can also pick them up at the pool parking lot at Kanawha State Forest between 6:30 am and 7:30 am race day. There will be a quick pre-race briefing at 7:45 am.
Race Start:8:00 am
Post Race Meal: After finishing the race, runners are welcome to some hot BBQ, hot soup, hot coffee, hot chocolate and other Bone Warming food and snacks.
Awards and Prizes: Individual awards will be given to the top (3) overall Male/Female Open and the 1st Place Masters (40 and over)Male/Female in both the 25k and 50k races. All runners who complete the course in the 8 1/2 hour time limit will receive a unique (some may call it awesome) Finisher Award.
Also, runners who have completed the race 5 times will receive a special award. If this will be your 5th finish, make sure the race director knows.
Refunds: A request for refund of entry fees, minus a $10 fee, will be granted up to 12/08/14. Please don’t ask after this date. No race entry transfers.
