WVMTR Annual Camp and Run Weekend 2010
Mark your calendar for July 30 – August 1 for the 9th WVMTR Camp and Run Weekend. This gathering began on June 14, 2002, six months before the club officially formed, and continues to be a great weekend get together. For years the event was held at Seneca Rocks with a run of the North Fork Mountain Trail. In 2009 we broke tradition and went to Watoga State Park. This year we will be hitting Coopers Rock State Forest northeast of Morgantown.

Coopers Rock State Forest has some fine running and hiking trails, biking, bouldering and sight-seeing. However due to rigid (we couldn’t get them to budge) campground restrictions we will be camping very nearby at Chestnut Ridge Park. There will be lots to do for everyone, runners and non-runners alike. Hope to see all you new members out there! Coopers Rock and Chestnut Ridge are located off I-68 10 miles east of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Plan to arrive Friday afternoon/evening July 31st at Chestnut Ridge Park. Whoever’s there early will likely organize a short run from the campground. I will have some sort of delicious (easy & filling) pasta cooked.
The RUN will be at 8:00am Saturday. There will be two courses planned out by Brian Masney and JL Brown in the 8-10 mile and 18-20 mile ranges.

Post Run Fun
We will have a feast back at the campground. Barbecued chicken, hamburgers and veggie burgers will be on the menu. Please bring a covered dish, snacks, dessert, beverage or you favorite whatever for the dinner table.
BTW we will have a pavilion with electricity this year so you can bring your electric crepe skillet and blender.

REGISTRATION There is no registration form needed, but you must email me the information below to reserve a spot. The camping facilities are limited.
COSTS The camping fee is $5/person/night payable when you arrive. Kids are free.
